Just A Little Late - Art Movie

1. What do you like most about your video?

The thing I like most about my video is the different effects I used to give it sort of a dreamy effect. This adds to the idea of this being an art movie. It really makes you think about what the movie is about and the plot is up for interpretation. What I really liked about my video was the music used. It seemed to correspond perfectly with the movie. When the music sped up and got louder, there were more and more flashbacks in the movie. When it was slower, there were less flashbacks. The music really added to it. 

2. What do you like least about your video?

The thing I like least about my video is how it was very difficult to mesh the videos together and make them look like they were from the same era. This was because the characters were wearing a different style of clothing and some of the videos had better quality compared to the other ones. I dislike the way some of the video effects that I had to use to make certain clips mesh in with the other videos made the clips look a bit too fuzzy. Also, some clips were wide screen and some were full screen and I was unable to use this to my advantage to create effect in my video.

3. Why should this be considered an art movie?

This should be considered an art movie because the plot could be interpreted differently for each person. It really makes the viewers wonder what it is truly about and if they are right in interpreting it a certain way. It does not have a definite conclusion so the viewers wonder what will happen.

1. What are 3 things that can make this movie be considered as an ART movie?
   
I think that one thing that can make this movie be considered an art movie because of the creativeness of the plot. It seems as though this was an original idea and not based on any other concepts or movies. Another thing that I think adds to the idea of this being an art movie is the characters in the film. They were very unusual and creative. The last thing that I think can make this movie be considered an art movie is the idea of magic and the magical aspect that was added to the movie. It makes the viewers imagine and sort of think what would happen if certain things were possible.


2. How is this movie perhaps more creative than  most mainstream movies?

This movie is more creative than most mainstream movies because I find that a lot of mainstream movies are similar and based off of other movies. This one was not based on any other movies. It is very original. I think that the plot is very creative. I also think that all of the characters in the movie are very creative. It would take real imagination to think up what the characters would look like and do.


3. Did you like or dislike this movie overall? Please full explain your opinion.

I really enjoyed the movie. I think that it was very creative and original. It was very suspenseful at parts and I really like suspense in movies.  I really enjoyed the plot of the movie. It was never boring because I always wanted to know what would happen next. I love how it made me think that maybe magic does exist somehow and what it would be like if it did. My favourite part of the movie was the ending because it kind of reminded me of heaven.

1.    Give reasons for why you think Da Vinci invented the inventions on the reverse of this sheet.

I believe that Da Vinci was trying to get people to challenge what was the reality at the time. Inventing something means thinking that the impossible could become possible. He was thinking of the many ways in which life could be improved for them during his time and trying to imagine a solution. He probably had many ideas of what it would be like, so he documented them.

2.    Choose one of Da Vinci’s inventions, and explain why you think it has had the biggest impact on modern society.

I believe that the invention that had the most impact on society was his design of the automobile. This was designed to challenge what was modern engineering at the time. It led to many inventions including obviously, the first car, but it also lead to the invention of the first mechanical computer.  This has affected our society significantly because our entire world is based on computers and cars are our number one form of transportation.

3. Make up a list of 3 inventions that would enrich our lives.

-       A device that makes food taste however you want it to taste. For example, if you are having healthy food that you do not like but know that you should eat it, then you could make it taste like chocolate or anything else you want. The effect would also be reversible in case of error. This would enrich our lives because it would eliminate obesity. If you’re craving something unhealthy, you could just make healthy food taste like what you’re craving.

-          A teleportation device. This would use wormhole technology and allow you to transport yourself anywhere in the world at any time you want on command. This would eliminate a lot of pollution as we would not have to travel by car anymore. Also you would never have to miss anyone that lives far away because with this technology, they are really only a second away from you at all times.

-        A device that automatically "uploads" information to your brain. You could pick a topic that you would like to learn and then it would transmit the information to your brain. You would instantly become an expert on that topic. Because of this invention, you would no longer be required to go to school. This would be very beneficiary to everyone as it would not only save time and money, it would promote advancements and growth in society.
